Ms. Marifer has enjoyed helping to change the lives of children since she graduated from The University of the District of Columbia in 2014. She believes every child is born with the innate ability and desire to learn. The teacher's purpose is to help children acquire that knowledge by creating an environment based on their interests and helping them develop fundamental world skills. As an immigrant from Mexico, she believes in the importance of learning a second language. Knowing this firsthand, the learning of a second language helps children to develop empathy and have a better understanding of different cultures.
